Carla is this week's WTUI hostess, and she has a wonderful choice for us. I found it very hard to narrow my options down, but I went with one of my favourite ways of making butterflies. Her vellum challenge is HERE .
PB image stamped and embossed on white card, then sponged with various DOX inks. I spritzed it slightly with water, and stamped the splash and the script from French Foliage using the same DOX inks. Added some chunky EP in gold and white, and matted onto a larger stitched square.
Embossed the next size up of stitched square into the card front.
Sentiment was stamped in black, embossed in clear EP and tucked under the edges of the panel after adding a little dotting with a stylus.
The butterfly was stamped on vellum and embossed with white. I coloured it with Sharpies from behind, and then added Stickles on the front. It's the only time I love the way wet glue causes the vellum to warp and cockle, and the Stickles gives extra body to it, so it's not nearly as fragile as it looks.

Wowza - be still my heart - beautiful butterfly and that rainbow of colors in the bg just calls to me! Love the chunky gold spatters and the hint of text I am catching here & there.... The white embossing makes this springtime fresh.

This is definitely a Vision in Vellum, Sabrina! Love that glorious explosion of color with the white embossing and chunky gold EP. The vellum sentiment strip lets those colors shine through and is perfect for your pretty butterfly. Thanks for the marvelous sample for my challenge.

Gah! I love the torn vellum sentiment. It looks fabulous! The vellum butterfly is also a great idea. I love how you bolstered it with the Stickles too.
