Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she is ringing in the winter season with her colors: Pool Party, Metallic Silver and White. The dessert option is "ice and snow."
Perfect timing and colors, I needed a winter birthday card this week. I used the adorable polar bear stamp, which required little coloring; just the colors of Pool Party, and the two neutrals, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot, for his scarf, and some very light grey to give his body a little dimension. I cut him out using my Scan 'n Cut.
I die-cut the two icebergs and covered them with clear, sparkly Stickles. I found this perfect vellum with embossed silver snowflakes in my hoard of DS paper. How many years ago was it retired??? Die cut the wavy edge and adhered to the Pool Party base. Finishing touch: I attached the bear with an Action Wobble so he can wave hello.
Thans for stopping by. I know it's a busy time for lots of us, so in case you can't pop in next week, I want to wish everyone a joyous holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! I hope you can find a little time to play in your craft room this week!

I love this scene, and how serendipitous is it that you came upon the vellum with those gorgeous snowflakes? I have to chuckle because I just bought both the stamp set and dies! Thanks for the inspiration, my friend!
