I made this for my DH who, despite the limitations & the pain, just keeps going in his recovery from spinal cord surgery over a year ago. Improvement has come slowly and with some setbacks, yet he faithfully goes to PT, routinely does his exercises at home, stays positive and does what he can for himself & around the house for occupational therapy. He is a star! He says his favorite color is ALL of them, so I gave his card lots of color.
For my card, I used blends markers to get the light and dark shading on the letters. To make the strips, I carefully inked up half of the saying in navy & stamped; and then inked up the other half in pumpkin & stamped. I matted the strips so they would stand out.
Also, I'm dedicating this card to Carey who has faithfully been a Sketch Challenge designer for many years. She has decided to take a break. Thanks Carey for all you have done!
Thanks for looking. I hope you are able to use the sketch. Enjoy!

Diane, your wonderful card for your hubby really touched my heart .... you two make a great team as he recovers from the surgery. He is working so hard to do his part in the recovery process and you are supporting and encouraging him each step of the way!

Your story of your husband's recovery is very inspiring, Diane, and I love the colorful, cheerful card you've made for him - it really stands out in the star gallery!
