A card for Jamie who enjoys the outdoors and the color green.
I watercolored the outdoor scene and used a micron pen for a few fine line detail.. then followed one of Kristie Marcotteâs sketches. (Jamieâs sister).
Thanks Polly for introducing me to Kristie. She does amazing work with creating sketch cards from a 6x6 paper pad!!

Jeannie, this is just magnificent! I am SO impressed with how you water colored this amazing outdoor scene for Jamie, and I know she will be impressed and appreciate it as well. I love this sketch you used that follows the lines of your painting so beautifully. Terrific use of designer papers here too. This is going straight into my favorites folder my friend. What a delight it was to see this beauty in the gallery today! ~Karen.

And now that I'm home and on the PC, I can say how sweet this is, and a lovely use of the sketch. The smaller image reminds me of the way many watercolours are matted with large matting layers - framing it and drawing the eye in. I love the hint of music in one of those narrow layers, too.
