The background for this was one of the first I tried using the Softy White cs, which has a felt like surface. I spritzed the Softy White with water, then sprinkled with Pixie Powders to color, and spritzed again to soften and spread the colors. Let it dry, then ran through the Big Shot in the embossing folder. Sponged with Opal Polish gold to highlight the design of the embossing. The pear was an image I had stamped and colored some time ago, I fussy cut it out, and sponged the edges with turquoise for a finished look. Layered the embossed panel with gold cs, then to card front. Mounted the pear onto the card. I let it lay around for several days, while I tried to decide what I wanted to finish it up with- finally decided on a more generic sentiment, and die cut "thinking of you" from the gold cs, and added it to the card.
So, for the double background challenge:
Colored the Softy White cs with Pixie Powders, then embossed with an embossing folder, then sponged with Opal Polish gold for highlights.
I have to say I fell in love with the colors on this one.
