This month's Tea Party will be a ticklish affair - judging by the array of feathers in the gallery.
This is a pretty Eastern Rosella - and yes the colours are right. They are a bright and chirpy little bird and I often see them in one of my three bird baths. Yes - these birds are definitely "their own kind of beautiful".
I embossed the stamped image and sentiment and coloured it with water colour pencils. I finished it off with gel glitter pens to add a bit of sparkle.
The image is then framed with some Australian themed design papers with wattle flowers and leaves and a wonderfully rusted corrugated sheet behind to finish off.
Hope you enjoy.

Love this! I'm always amazed when we watch bird programmes at how colourful they are in some countries - not so much here. I'd definitely call this beautiful, and it would translate to a lovely embroidery. How lucky you are to have them on view. I like the wattle paper in the background.

What a pretty bird! How fun to have them visit your garden.

Your card is fabulous Helen and your colouring is spot on. I love the bright layers too. Reading everyone's comments makes me appreciate how lucky we are here.
