Color Challenge - Peacock, Lipstick, Curry or Saffron and Pumpkin Pie for dessert
I used the colors to stamp randomly with flowers and leaves to create my own DSP. I did not take the time to line up the three step flower and just stamped, which was so freeing. The first step was stamped in Saffron, second in Pumpkin and outline in Curry. (I used both spice colors.) My flowers reminded me of the same colored marigolds that my mother used to plant in our front yard.
I only have the Peacock and Lipstick in markers so I colored directly on the stamp. The ink from the marker beaded up on the leaves, but it created a cool pattern when I stamped it. I went back with a sponging brush to fill in the flowers with Saffron and the leaves with Peacock and the small flowers with Lipstick. I scribbled the markers on an acrylic sheet and picked up the ink that way with the brush.
Stamped speckles with Basic Black ink. Layered on Peacock and Saffron cardstock. Added Pretty Peacock dots. Heat embossed a sentiment in white on Lovely Lipstick and punched it out.
Terrific colors. Thanks Chris! Thank you for looking.

Oh, how pretty Diane! You sure made these colors sing on this gorgeous card! Sometimes, it is great not lining up stamps and honestly, I think they turn out better because these flowers really do look like luscious marigolds. Thank you for the wonderful inspiration today! ~Karen.
