I am afflicted with a certain malady: I see possibilities in everything. I had rescued a few old Christmas things, either from my late in laws or from my grandparents, like the top of a light box.
I trimmed it down and started decorating. I had all the stuff in my stash so it was easy and fun. I love reminders of the past, particularly my childhood. Everything else is new, except for the bell tag at the top. There is sort of a mix of decades on here; early 20th century people, mid century box and tag. My mother in law had written on the box '1948, 89 cents.' 89 cents for lights!!!!!!!

Oh my, how wonderful to have that box top from Christmas lights (so long ago) and 89 cents...wow! I love your stars (one of my things) and the pretty bell. I know you had a ton of fun and happy memories with this one.
