This is the front of my card for Kia's vellum challenge. I got the inspiration for my design from Operation Write Home's Sketch #25. I thought the way the rectangles were positioned in the sketch, that it looked like a window. So I added vellum for a frosted window look.
I cut a panel of pale grey cardstock to A2 size. I cut all 4 openings with a metal cork-backed ruler & my craft knife. (Yes, I did draw the cut lines on the back first!) I then temporarily adhered that to my card base. I opened the base, and used my ruler & craft knife again to cut out the "window panes" from the front of my card base. I adhered a piece of vellum over the openings on the card base, using double-sided tape for the edges and a sparing amount of liquid glue for the mullions. Finally, I adhered my grey panel over the vellum. I die cut the peace from green glitter cardstock backed with Stick It adhesive, and added that to the bottom of the "window." You can see the inside of my card at this post.
