I decided to go with a stylized tree for this challenge. I backed a piece of green shimmer cardstock with Stick It adhesive, then die cut the tree. I adhered that to a panel of patterned paper. For the scalloped mat, I had to do partial die cutting, since I don't have a scalloped rectangle. So I used a square scalloped die, cut all but the bottom, then shifted the die down, matching the die to the scallops that I'd already cut, and finished cutting. I always tape the die to the paper when I'm doing any die cutting. I also tape the paper to my cutting plate for partial die cutting, to keep the die/paper from shifting and maybe cutting more than I want.
I stamped the greeting onto a strip of vellum, and gold heat embossed it. I trimmed the left end at an angle, and used my Tiny Attacher with gold staples to attach the other end to my matted panel. (I made my own gold staples by painting the Tiny Attacher staples with gold leafing paint.)
I mounted a cream cardstock panel to my white card base and adhered my matted focal panel to finish this card.
