Janine challenged us to create a Christmas card reflecting a climate different from where we live. Western Kansas can have all of them in any given week and sometimes in a day. So at first I was going to divide a Christmas tree into part tumbleweed, part cactus, part traditional evergreen and part palm or banana tree......but then literally in the middle of the night I woke and said----nope, I am going to do my dream Christmas---and I did. Cabin almost buried in the snow, wildlife around, no roads, no city......I think I could hole up in a place like the card shows for the winter as long as I had books to read, crafting available, food, water and firewood....I might not be able to do it but I dream about it when stresses build.
