I have the privilege of hosting this weeks teaparty for Jacqueline Zuhde, the loving 82 year old mum of our very own Teapotter Jeannie (Lv2grdn).
The challenge details are HERE. There are twelve things on our Twelve Days of Christmas list....I got 11 things on my card, hence my title Eleven Prancers Prancing.
Gold, silver, red and green were easy and I wrapped scraps of cardstock in real life wrapping paper to make the presents, the cardstock is hammer tone for texture.
The tree was made using Kittie's wonderful Evergreen Tree tutorial. The sentiment represents the one "extra thing" not on the list and the Stickles are my baubles. The holly is a rose leaf punch and was clipped into the shape of holly.
I discovered that I only have one Santa stamp and I must say he looked like he had one too many beers on his travels around the world. I thought I could add some texture paste to his hat and his beard in order to disguise his dodgy face. He looked worse! I said to myself, self Jeannie's mum will have nightmares if she sees this character at the bottom of the stairs, so I positioned him at the top of the stairs and almost out of sight.
I was on track to use all twelve things on the list, but sadly the bright turquoise/bluish baubles turned green as they dried. I could have fibbed and said the camera did it, but it's too close to Christmas to risk a lie!
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to join in or pop a fun Christmas card in the mail to Jacqueline.

Brilliantly done and I bow to you for doing that tree! The detail in this had me studying it for a while. Love that you even decorated the banister. What a creative and clever design!

This is just too cool, love the stair die and how you have Santa almost peeking around the tree! You did a fabulous job on the tree and so cool you actually used wrapping paper for the presents!

Susie, dear, this is the last thing I am looking at before turning off the lights for my slumber. I won't be surprised if I dream of sugar plum fairies because of your incredibly awesome card, write up and teapot request. Thank you and nighty night from Oregon.

Have you morphed into Kittie? Just kidding...you did an amazing job on that tree..WOW! The details on this are incredible...so much to look at ..she's going to be blown away! Don't worry about your Santa....I know for a fact that Wisconsinites love their beer so that's the normal look for the Jolly Old Man.

You are a stitch and a half....before I read your Santa story, I thought it was brilliant to have him hiding at the top of the stairs. Still brilliant, now that I know why. Everything about this card is top notch. I didn't know about Kittie's tutorial, I'll check that out.

Susie, your card is delightful! Your eleven bits of detail are well done. I think you should get extra credit for all the work to create the tree. Jeannie's mom will love it.
