Our challenge was to make a card that shares a Christmas Tradition. For me putting the ornaments was always a favorite time. From the time I was young, we'd hang special ornaments on our family tree. My mom had a friend who made a felt ornament each year and sent it. We always looked forward to the next ornament. My mom would also tell us about the older ornaments we hung and how they connected to our family.
When my kids were little, I'd hand the kids an ornament and tell them about it. Most of them were ornaments given to them by different people. It was a great time of memories for me. My kids have since taken their ornaments to their own trees.
I stamped in versamark then heat set gold embossing powder with my heat tool. I stamped the sentiment using navy ink and added it to the front of the card.

This is a wonderful holiday tradition. We loved remembering the origins of all our special ornaments, too. Your step card is lovely with its rich plaid bg paper and that elegant ornament in the middle. Thanks for playing along Sue!
I wondered about the style of your card and then I see it is called a step card. It's very pretty with the plaid and the shiny ornament. Relate to your tradition too.

What a gorgeous ornament and lovely card, beautiful plaid dp. I love your tradition, most of our ornaments have stories too and we get a new ornament each year for our girls so they'll have a start with their ornaments when they move out.
