Happy Falliday, peeps! And thanks to Polly (peeps321) for encouraging us to create a piece representing our favorite holiday tradition. While I love any chance to celebrate, it's November and Thanksgiving that warms my heart and soul!
I used Tim's marvelous collaged words embossing folder for the focal of my card. The main panel was created by sprinkling Brushos over the mixed media paper with an eye to how the colors ran. Once it was dry, I misted the paper again and embossed with my Big Shot. I have found that really getting the paper damp makes the embossed effect much more visible. Once it was dry again, I traced around each letter with a #2 pencil to add a bit of shadow. Matted with a blueish green, added snippet of jute at the top. The YOU is a die cut from TH/Sizzix Celebrate Words. It was embossed with Stampendous Fran~tage Chunky Metallic Seasonings. I've found heating from the bottom is a MUST to keep all that goodness in place.
All the best of the year is gathered right here in November. Harvest and hopefulness, family and faith, thankfulness and love. And {u}.
Can't wait to see the gallery...let's gather 'round.

I never could have imagined this beauty from your little snippet..LOL This is gorgeous both in color and texture. I love your added dimension with the pencil outlining and the metallic "you" is strategically placed for maximum effect. Love it! Thanks for making a sample!
