This is a 10 minute timed challenge in shades of blue. I took 9 minutes and 48 seconds to do this card. I started by masking off my stamp to ink up only the part of the sentiment that I wanted. I then stamped it onto the 12 x 12 sheet of DSP where I wanted it and proceeded to cut it out the size I needed it to be. Needless to say, it was crooked and needed several trims to get it relatively straight looking. I then cut the rest of my papers down to their sizes and started adhering them together. When I had it all together I felt that the sentiment was still too crooked and almost scrapped the challenge. I still had a few minutes left on my timer, so I decided to see if I could fix it within the time allowed. I grabbed a scrap of Whisper White and stamped the sentiment onto it, punched it out with my Modern Label punch and another one in Pacific Point. I cut that one in half, glued it behind the sentiment so it peeked out on each end and popped it up on dimensionals covering the crooked one. I put enamel shapes on to add a little bling. I just squeaked that one out with 15 seconds to spare.

Boy, is this ever beautiful! I am partial to the blues. I understand how hard it is to get an element the way you hope. Yesterday I pulled off sentiments on five cards and tossed them out because they looked ugly to me. I get it. But this is so gorgeous!

Yeah, stamping on the paper never works for me either, Eunice, especially if I'm in a hurry! And that's the fix I use, too! I'm so glad you still got to enter, because this is a beautiful card! Great choice of papers! Thanks for getting your adrenaline running with our speed challenge at As You See It Challenges.

Good fix for the sentiment problem, Eunice. I like the way you've got a light floral paper in behind your main panel. It adds interest and blueness. Great use of the time! Thanks for playing with us again at As You See It - I'm glad you didn't scrap your challenge entry as it's turned out really well.
