This is for Polly's challenge: a Christmas tradition.
This is a funny tradition. Anyone born in the 50's must remember having Jell-O, sometimes for dessert. It was invented in 1897 by Pearle Bixby Wait, a cough syrup manufacturer in LeRoy, NY. We had it only at holiday times: Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Kids loved it, even if they didn't like anything else on the table. My Mom would always get the freebie molds if you bought enough packages. She would try to make it healthier by putting shredded carrots, chopped celery or fresh fruit. Oh, and Jigglers!!!! So fun! A very American delicacy!
I found this vintage Jell-O image online, printed it, added the seam binding and mounted it on a embossed background, colored with DOx red inks and the Delicata gold. I had a container of yogurt today and when I pulled off the cover, there was the perfect sentiment: enjoy one spoonful at a time! Cut it out with circle dies and 'Bobs your uncle.'

simply delightful! I love the cork scalloped borders. The found sentiment. Fun Jello molds. We have beloved Jello salads that are must haves in our family. This is now the fourth gen to enjoy them! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Yes, that is quite the vintage image! My SIL had a recipe that used Jello but not in the usual sense, my other SIL named it Green Goo! It was a salad with pistachio jello, cool whip, pineapple, and I'm not sure what else. A very dessert style salad and tasty! Such a fun vintage look.
