This stamp would be just perfect for an Australian Christmas. No snow and cold weather here. A lot of Australians will be heading to the beach on Christmas Day with a cold salad and seafood packed for lunch. Its not much fun cooking a hot meal in the heat here on Christmas day.
This image was stamped and clear embossed. Coloured with Derwent water colour pencils and some metallic gold water colour paint. Trimmed and the edges sponged with gold Brilliance ink. I then decorated the Shell tree with strings of little white pearls - a bit hard to see but they are there.

Beautiful and apropos Christmas card for your part of the world, Helen. The coloring of the scallop shells is lovely and the entire color palette is so pleasing.

Gorgeous coloring on the shells, Helen. It is usually not too cold on Christmas here in Alabama too - we just pretend. Love the image and your card! Hugz

Helen, what a beautiful shell tree and perfectly colored. Oh, your Christmas sure sounds different than mine.....no time at the beach for me on Christmas day.

Such a delightful tree for a southern hemisphere Christmas! And I see the pearls! I'm always on the lookout for fun images to use for Christmas cards for our Florida family.

Wonderful Christmas card, Helen! I always forget about it being summer there. I grew up in a beach town on the TX gulf coast. We wore shorts most Christmases so I DO get it, lol.
