This was my second try at a splat. First, my paint was too thick. I thinned it down a little, but it still wouldn't splat. Then I used a straw, and it moved, but not quite the way I had in mind. It is what it is.
This card goes to our dear granddaughter, Erin, who called us on her way home from work to say she got a 5% raise, even though her review is not until next month. She was very excited, and of course so are we.

Anne, my friend, I really like how you celebrate all things with your grands. Good for Erin! You card made me smile. I love the splat and the dancing gal. I especially like the crimped corners! Great work!

You may have struggled (I think I had the opposite problem, too thin!) but you have a sweet card and it really does capture the celebration vibe. Although with the amount of rain we've had here today, it also makes me think of sploshing in puddles. It's too cold to go out and try my new wellies, though :-(.

What I found with this technique is the paint has a mind of it's own. I was just along for the ride. I love the color you used. She is going to love this card. Congratulations from me on the raise.
