Ally has given us an interesting sketch this week. I took liberties, smile! First, I reversed the orientation. I used this fabulous 1 Canoe 2 scene papers. The first a gathering storm and the smaller, but beckoning pink sky with harvest ready fields. Mr Crow is heralding a life lesson...this one from Joseph Campbell.
The Crow crier is from Stamp Francisco. I extended his banner to better fit the first half of the quote. I used a golden rod vellum paper. The words were stamped with the Memento Lux 'Nautical Blue' and cut random style to beckon the reader. I love the dressed up Mr Crow. He's got a waist coat, a top hat, and a jacket with tails. His buttons are Stickled red and the suit was colored with Copics.
A couple of strips of Washi tape and embossed grass from a Tim Holtz ef divide the bottom #2 panel. Both sides of my main papers are from the 1 Canoe 2 line from American Crafts. They are sorta, kinda of my Basic Grey replacement.
The quote is:
'We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting
for us.'

Surrender, what a subject for this amazing card! It is a difficult thing to do and yet we might be totally amazed at the outcome of just such a decision. Love your unique and wonderful style, Susan.

Bowled over yet again with all your innovations! Paper piecing, lengthening, and depth of wisdom. Stamp envy as well. I can really relate to the crow wearing the tux!
