My only complaint about today's technique is that I had to iron it. I had to dig my iron out of the closet, because I don't iron. Now you all know where I find the time to make cards--I simply don't do housework. But this really did have to be ironed to finish it, so I'm glad I did it. I came to cardmaking too late for the mulberry paper trend, but fortunately, Karen sent me a couple of sheets of mulberry paper in a teapot tickle earlier this year. It was light pink and pretty perfect for this technique. The tutorial called for watercolor crayons, so I used the Distress crayons that Kelly just sent me too. Thank goodness for the good and generous friends I've made here :0)

Your background is beautiful, Jen. How fun that you had not just regular mulberry but tinted, for a softer look. I have to say, though, that lovely as the background is, your Kittie's steal the scene.

Now that your secret is out, it should not surprise you that many of us have found our card making time simply by giving up housecleaning, too!
Welcome to the land of creativity and the home of horded pleasures!! Love your card. An iron? Oh, yeah I think I have one of those out in the garage!!

My DH cleaned out the hall closet yesterday, and put my iron in the back. I had to get him to reach for it this AM, so into my craft room it goes....I don't iron either. Your card is cute.....the feathery mulberry looks terrific as a bg for those fun cats.

LOL Jen you make me giggle! :0) We do own an iron, but just like you, if I needed it for a technique I'd have to spend some time first digging it out of the back of the linen closet... at least I THINK that's where I stowed it when I moved in going on 5 years ago now... HAHA! (If it's wrinkled, throw it in the wash. If it requires ironing - don't buy it... that's how I roll!).
All kidding aside, your card is INCREDIBLE! So stunning! I never would have imagined this technique was new to you - it looks like you're a pro!
