I enjoyed todayâs easy and fun technique. I thought it would be really great to use with my new jellyfish stamp that I bought at the Stamp Expo. Look at me actually using the stuff I bought! I colored my acrylic block with my Spectrum Aqua markers, which worked great, but did not have the same option of less or more color that Lydiaâs markers had. I was glad to watch Lydiaâs video and hear her say she was using hot press watercolor paper. I FINALLY found some at the store, and this is my first time using it. I may never buy cold press paper again. I love this stuff. So after I stamped and colored the jellyfish, I felt that they needed a light blue wash background and I added that with my Spectrum Aqua markers also.

I actually love jellyfish images, just don't like them in the sea when I want to swim. I think they're really beautiful. These ones look great - I like the wash of colour. More or less ink? I must have missed that, but I had to watch the video on silent. I didn't even have watercolour brush markers, so you're one step ahead of me there.
Hot Press is lovely, but believe me, there are still times you will want the texture of the cold/rough. Don't wave goodbye to it altogether ;-).

Perfect coloring for jellyfish! Brilliant, Jen. They seem to be glowing. Hugz
