This card was made with inspiration from three different card challenges:
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #335 (sketch)
Retro Rubber Stamps Challenge #120 (stamps)
Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #362 (colors)
I used the "Ink, Spray & Smash" technique to create the fall colored background. This technique involves dropping various color re-inkers onto a craft mat, spraying them with water, then smashing your glossy cardstock into the colors multiple times to create your background. I used the colors from "Color My Heart Color Dare" challenge when I chose the re-inkers.
After the ink had dried, I used a beloved Stampin' Up! (SU) "Autumn" skeleton leaf stamp set released in 2000 to stamp four different leaves using Stazon ink in various directions so the leaves extended off the edges of the paper. This met "Retro Rubber Stamp Challenge" that required using a stamp at least one year old (mine was 19 years old!!!).
The overall card design was from the "Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge" which had the matted vertical panel with a slanted sentiment and sequins scattered across the color space.
The sentiment was die cut using SU Crushed Curry and SU Elegant Eggplant cardstock (offset to create a drop shadow). The sentiment was adhered using Tombow glue. The leaf sequins were colored with Sharpie markers, then attached with small pieces of Scor-Tape.
The card wasn't hard to create, but did require some time to allow the ink to dry. I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5".
I think these three challenges meshed perfectly!
