 | | This is my card for Challenge Your Stash for September, 2019. Each month we receive a challenge, and make a card with the items that are already in our stash--no buying new stuff!
This month Suzy asked us to make a card for one of these categories: Get Well, Hope you are feeling better, Thinking of You, Hope recovery is going well.
I must confess that I am not in love with this card. If I weren't nursing a bum knee and counting down the days until my total knee replacement surgery, I would have started over with something a little more upbeat. Oh, well, it might come in handy some day as a sympathy card.
I wanted to try using this stamp, one of SU's Inktense designs, with Distress Oxide ink. The results were slightly disappointing. I think the special etching on the rubber requires a dye ink for a crisp impression, rather than the thicker hybrid ink that is Distress Oxide. Lesson learned!
Thanks for looking!
