Oh, happy Saturday everyone! Time for inspiration. Thank you, Brenda for kicking it off today with the website Flags on a Stick. It didn't take long for me to settle on this Grateful Flag. I like the pumpkins, leaves, branches, and of course, the word. And I wanted to turn a negative into something positive!
I've been saving this negative diecut from a larger Brusho panel I created last year. It was too vivid to throw away. So I challenged myself to turn it into a card! I had to cut the word again with scraps to get the bobbly bits that define the r,a,e,f,l. T~tiny bobbly bits!
The collage of autumn things at the bottom left hides a funky transition. I used a gold cloth leave, a bit of satin leaves, velvet brown petals, a brass hand and of course a pumpkin, colored with Gelatos and sprinkled with micro mini beads! The trim across the top is not black with white scribbles...it is a beautiful dark mallard green velvet that is pleated. I still have no idea why my iPhone photographs it that way.
Thanks for stopping by today. I am grateful for the relationships here in SCS. Even though we all live in a virtual box 2, it's always nice to come home...Happy weekend

Super "grateful" card, Susan. Love the micro beads on the pumpkin and that hand is great. So much here to like.

What a gorgeous Fall card and so beautifully designed, Susan. The collage of Fall items is wonderful, especially the pumpkin with micro mini beads and the hand.

Wonderful textures on each of your fall pieces Susan! Don't you hate when you loose those little bits that come out of the letters!! They are on the table and then they disappear! I can see the green on the edges of that strip at the top - cameras are weird in what they see through the light - maybe the bright white of the paint blurred the color?! A beautiful inspired fall card!

Again with the microbeads...you're so brave....I end up spilling more than I attach. That negative brusho panel was just waiting for today's site....serendipitous! Your corner assemblage is like a mini collage...fabulous!

Lovely, Susan! I adore that you saved the negative to use. I do that so much I have baggies of them. It IS weird that it photos that way at the top. Almost looks like the white balance is way off.
