With impeccable timing my Umbrella Man landed through the porch window today on my day off, letting me try him out with Lydia's MIX46 Faux Reductive Painting challenge. I'd already made a few prints earlier in the morning. I used Frisket film for my mask, and painted over it. When dry, I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white. Decided to add some music to ground him, so I masked him again and stamped and embossed Music Notes in copper. I also added some Metallic Seasonings chunky EP for "rain". Edged the piece with a gold pen, stamped the music notes randomly on the white base with grey ink, and stuck my panel on, with copper photo corners in each corner.

This looks SO COOL, Sabrina! It makes me think of the Chalk Board Technique also! You did a FABULOUS JOB on this "Umbrella Man!" LOVE ALL of the little touches you added to this!!!! INKY HUGS for your SWEET VISIT!!! ;)<3
Oh, I love it! I wanted to use the umbrella man, but I think you had already said you were going to. It is perfect for this technique. I already mailed mine out.
Makes me think of Gene Kelly singing in the rain! Only he was dancing , too.

This card definitely looks like fun was had here! I like the music scores peaking through the base and Umbrella standing on the bars. His color is fantastic. And the orange accents spectacular! I think I might have a small umbrella man. Thanks for inspiring me...
