This card was made for Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge where I used both the sketch and the inspiration photo full of fall themes.
The card base is Stampin' Up! (SU) Calypso Coral, with the Island Indigo cardstock cut using the large SU Stitched Rectangles die so there is fine stitching all around the edge. The vertical purple background strip is SU Perfect Plum cut just slightly larger than the three white pumpkin squares.
The pumpkins are one of the images on the larger fall fruits/flowers collage stamp in SU's retired 2006"Thoroughly Thankful" stamp set. I fussy cut each square out, being careful to leave a margin for the rounded pumpkin bottoms and stems. The pumpkin was stamped three times using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then after the ink had thoroughly dried, I hand colored each pumpkin with Copic markers. the purple pumpkin was stamped with the Thanksgiving sentiment from SU's 1993 retired "More Great Greetings" using Versafine Onyx Black ink with my SU Stamparatus stamp positioner so that I could stamp it three times for a nice intense black to make it stand out.
Each pumpkin was mounted on the vertical purple strip using adhesive foam strips to raise them up for added depth and interest.
The blue panel and purple strip were glued down using Tombow.
This is a simple Thanksgiving card appropriate to be sent to just about anyone. I am rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5" only because the need to hand color and cut the pumpkins. Using two shade of Copics for each pumpkin is very easy to create the shadowing.
