I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Pat is our hostess and she has a fun challenge called, "Cheer For The Queen Mother" in honor of Jennifer McGuire's Mother-in-Law.
Pat asked us to make a card using a sketch of our choice and I chose sketch SC648 for this card. To be honest, once I got in my craft room and got busy, I found that I strayed a bit from the sketch, but it did provide the guideline I needed to make this card.
The rose is stamped in 3 layers, but I only used 2 colors of ink. The darkest layer I stamped 4 times using the same color ink in order to intensify the color. I very lightly sponged It's A Boy ink onto the embossed pattern using a finger dauber sponge. I thought these embossed roses reminded me of a china painted teapot. I really enjoyed making this card today using colors I rarely if ever put together, but are colors the recipient prefers. It is always nice when I use colors that I would not normally use, then find I like them too. I wish Judy all the best as she journey's down this difficult road in life. Thank you for the great challenge Pat and thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Karen this is so beautiful. I love the soft comforting effect of the background and the stronger coloured flower. I love how you blinged up the word "prayers", Judy is sure to appreciate this.

Karen, your card has a beautiful, elegant look in these lovely blue tones! Love the embossed panel and gorgeous flower, also the silver die cut sentiment!

Beautiful card, Karen! Love the colors you used on your card! I found by using colors I don’t usually put together like on my card yesterday, when I was done I liked it! Well done for Judy.
