One of DH's best friends has a birthday in a couple of weeks. At this stage I've done him at least three caravan/camper cards and two motorbike ones so it was hard to come up with any fresh ideas. He's very handy, even if it's more mechanically than woodwork, so DH said a pegboard with tools would be good. I created a bench as a setting for it.
The bench fold tutorial can be found in the Resources section HERE.
I used kraft for most of the card, stamping it with Hardwood in vintage photo. To create the pegboard I just pencilled in a grid and used my old spring-loaded Fiskars eyelet setter. I scored the cream panelling down the two front panels, and added a little framed verse on one side - doing well to find a verse that fit a frame that fit the space available, I was thinking I might have to print something. The tools were cut from kraft, black, and matt silver and then pieced together.
Making this really reminded me of my dad, and his workbench which he had made himself (the smaller one in his study, the big one in the garage looked more like a bought one).
