I can't remember where I saw the Wax Paper Cuttlebug Resist tutorial--maybe in the Weekly Inkling?? Anyway, I needed to make a birthday card, & decided this was a fun technique to use to make one. I used my good ol' Cuttlebug, but you could use any roller machine.
The sentiment was cut out 4 times, once from the Ballet CS, & 3x from the Berry Burst. I layered the Ballet die-cuts on top of the Berry Burst die-cuts, to give it some depth.
I fussy-cut the cake, & popped it up on the card front with dimensionals. TFL!

Oh, what a fun, girly birthday card this is Liz! I adore this paisley bg and love how it sets the perfect stage for your big bold sentiment and this wonderful birthday cake. I have never done the wax paper resist technique before, but will be looking it up now. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration Liz! ~Karen.
