I was intrigued by the texture of the frosting and wanted to see if I could replicate it with paper crafting supplies.
I started with a piece of brown leather-like designed paper and used a Credit Card to spread on Stampin' Up Embossing Paste until I got the look I wanted and let it dry.
I stamped the Lemons & Limes on lime and lemon cardstock & die cut. I used foam tape to attach some of them before finishing with a strip of orange cardstock inspired by the ribbon around the bottom of the cake.

Nicely done adding the EP to this card. I immediately thought it was the icing. This was a wonderful inspiration site today. Gorgeous card you made from your inspiration.

Love the frosting look you got with the embossing paste - so like the look of your inspiration cake right down to the bits of chocolate peeking through the texture.
