It's teapotter tickle time! Jeannie is hosting this month and her challenge really stretched me out of my comfort zone, but it was fun! It's funny how I think I'm messy and just slap stuff together to make my cards, but when I'm really supposed to be messy, I can't get out of my neat zone. I used my Spectrum Aqua Markers first to wash a background wall and table and let that dry. Then I drew in a cup and let that dry. Then I drew in the saucer and tea and let that dry. So much drying. You know I have no patience for that. Finally, I drew edges and highlights with gel pens and some white steam coming off the hot tea. Found the perfect sentiment, framed it up and done.

I love this! I know what you mean, though - I've often found that things that are normally second nature become a real challenge once they are set as a challenge. I'm not good on the patience with drying, when it comes to watercolour - well done you for attempting something that required all those drying intervals. When I used to work in fine art supplies import and distribution, I attended a few demos with Ireland's equivalent of Bob Ross. He always used a hairdryer - not sure if he did in the studio at home but he sure did at every demo, so I've taken that tip from him and brought our spare hairdryer up here .

Wow, wow, wow!!! Jen this looks amazing. I loved reading your process and can totally relate to mess/no mess mentality LOL. Any teapotter would love to receive this.

Ah Jen! Your cup of Java is masterfully created and the steam rising adds another dimension of comforting smell of fresh brewed coffee!!
Thanks so much for playing!

Super colors for this beautiful card! Fantastic doodling! I'm like you, I hate to wait for things to dry and it's hard to just let go and not have everything stamped and colored perfectly!
