This page is for a scrapbooking challenge...one is the loneliest number. I had the photo and I loved the sketch but gosh trying to fit it all onto a mini album page was tricky.
I decided to create my own BG using a stencil to try and emulate the roof of St Pancras station in London. Underneath all that other stuff it sort of does look like it. I should have realised I was going to cover it lol.
I decided to use one of our train tickets as an embellishment, and die cut a label to use at the bottom for my journalling.
It was just before Xmas when we visited London. I loved the tree on display and all the shops and cafes decorated and took this photo just before we headed for our train.
We were taking the train up to my home region to surprise my sister who had had major surgery and was in remission.....to say I was excited was an understatement. She had no idea that I had arrived in the UK a few days earlier...boy was she going to get a shock.
TFL. Happy day

How fun you surprised her! A long trip and I know it was so fun. I surprised a friend after surgery for her cancer and flew to John Hopkins Hospital. When I got to her door, it was an amazing moment and I picture your trip like that too but with a much longer plane flight. I am with Susie - I get goose bumps thinking of it too. Love the painting you did on this paper, the moving around and such you did too (love your description in techniques). Wonderful page, Jayne. Love it! Hugz

this is such a wonderful layout, chuck FULL of interest! I am learning to scrapbook/journal and have favorited this. I will continue to browse your gallery and take it all in. Thanks for nice review of my IRELAND journal cover for my friend's daughter. She liked it and that was my first reward.. hahah... but was thrilled that others liked it too. Have a great day and thanks for sharing your talent so that I can learn and grow. Teresa
