A quick, not very imaginative, use of fibres for Polly's Got Fibre MIXed media challenge. Last Friday the challenge was too late for me to make a card, the previous week I was away, so I really wanted to sneak a little time in today.
The stamped Medallion was in my scrap box. I thought it would go will with pine trees, and they're colours I like for Christmas, so I cut the tag from that, and swiped the edges with gold. I swiped some watercolour paper with Forest Moss DOX and cut two trees from that. I buffed the little inlay pieces with metallic rub-on, then sprinkled chunky EP over them and heated them. Where, oh where, are my best tweezers? I added the little deer and some colour-matching fibres. For the background I swiped the embossing folder with Forest Moss, embossed and then sponged the edges with gold. Added it to a white base, popped the tag up on foam tape and called it done.
I'll be back to look at the gallery some time over the weekend - I'm propping my eyes open at this stage and have an early start and a full day tomorrow.

So pretty..I love the bg colors of your tag...it works well for a holiday card. And those fibers are also in my stash...probably purchased at a stamp show..they look great! Hope you get some rest..sounds like a busy weekend for you.

What a fantastic Christmas card this is Sabrina. I love this wonderful ink-embossed bg panel and how that highlights your fabulous woodland tag. The inlaid pieces are brilliant! I never think to use fibers like this so thank you for the great inspiration! ~Karen.

You always inspire me Sabrina. I love how you incorporated the tag (complete with fabulous fibres) to the terrific looking background. Everything about this is great and will no doubt take pride of place on a lucky persons mantle piece. Hope you having a lovely sleep as I type this. Enjoy your packed weekend my friend.

Being the lucky recipient, I can say it's a very imaginative use of fibres and design!! The medallion provides a wonderful sunrise behind those cute trees and quirkly little reindeer. Adorable card, Sabrina!
