I am trying to use supplies I have in my craft room, so this card was a special delight to create for Lori's DTGD Challenge. I stamped that background onto the white paper a couple of years ago, and it's been sitting on my desk - waiting so patiently for the call to be used!! I used Distress inks to color (with my SU! waterbrush) - and because the paper was thicker, it worked well. After the paint dried, I added some extra depth and dimension using colored pencils. Then had the hair-brained idea to sponge the sides (remember when that was the rage in stamping?!?!). The tiny blue gingham paper was bought on a trip to Seattle 4 years ago at the Amuse Studios shop (uncut until today), as was the red inlaid "you". Love the Americana-ish color combination.
