My Son-in-law is an avid fly fisherman and every year I try to make him a card that reflects this. Several weeks? / months? ago the Weekly Inkling featured a tutorial on making a fishing vest .
I cut my cardstock according to the tutorial then sponged all the edges with peeled paint
The fishing stamps I own were much too large so downloaded some digis that could be resized to fit my vest, colored with prsimacolor pencils and fussy cut all the images. I added jump rings to some of the lures to attach them to the pockets . . my card kept popping open so I also added 2 eyelets and some baker's twine to tie it all shut.
Inside sentiment says: Early to bed, Early to rise, Fish all day, Make up lies.

Striking playfulness - so many highlights in those pockets - well done!

Nicely done on this vest card. It has been about 14 years since I made a vest card. It was the very first Father's day card I made for my husband. And every Father's day card since that first one I have had my son stamp his hand print in every card. It has been a wonderful way of showing how he has grown over the years. Thanks for the memory/
