This card is a sample for Sandee's Dare to Get Dirty challenge - you'll have to check her challenge post for all the details! I picked up this SU set at the antique mall here in town and I was very excited to find it (plus it was only $5). The image was masked and I stenciled around it with a brand new stencil from A Colorful Life Designs - I asked for more teeny patterns, and this is one of the ones she added to the line! I shifted the stencil to get the 2 color pattern, and then I added a little more color after I removed the mask (and you can decide for yourself whether I actually meant to do it that way or not!). The sentiment is foiled using a plate from Spellbinders - I love the cards I've seen where the foiling overlapped a colored image, so I gave it a try. That plate is still on clearance too!
Dare to Get Dirty is a week packed with challenges and prizes for our Fan Club members - this year we're celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Fan Club, and everyone can play along! The event runs from August 3th to 9th, with 5 or more challenges each day... so many Dirty Girls providing inspiration for an amazing week!

I can so appreciate the detail here - and your confidence to overlay one tricky technique result upon another; masterful!

I love the vintage feel to this great football player. The stencil works so well and that large gold sentiment is just perfect for the image. You should add this to the WTUI from last Thursday we did Sports and this is perfect for that challenge.
