During the trip back to my home town for the memorial and burial service for mother, my sister and I both found a nostalgic appeal of living in a small town. While a lot have changed over the 50 plus years since living in ---- ----, many of the sites of town that I remember were still there. The rest of the family loved the town tooâ¦then being by the lake is always a plus.
This darling American Four Square house being purchased by the sister and BIL was a result of that visit.
After a major storm resulting in a large old oak tree crashing thru the roof made --- and ---- question their sanity in buying another house as it was already needing some repairs inside. Now there was a big hole in the roof and total destruction to the porch.
After a summer of construction, the house is in better shape than it has been for years.
Now when friends drive by during a Spring snow this 100-year-old house is picture perfect!!
The photo brings back many nostalgic memories of large quiet snows, as we wait for Spring to finally arrive. Just not today!!
I tired to bring in winter and spring since the photo was taken in April.
The doily was inked the die cut swirly thing was sprayed with Color bloom.
I took the bulky center out of the flower then added Nuvo drop so the whole page will be lay flat.

I love absolutely everything about this layout! Even the house in the photo! Your choice of colors and textures is just perfect. Matting each layer on black, leaving a super thin outline, sets everything off just right. Your style is inspiring!
