CC750 Spray Heather at the Pool
TLC753 Masked Stenciling
For the color challenge, I subbed Bashful Blue for the Seaside Spray and Orchid Opulence for the Highland Heather and used Night of Navy as my neutral. I masked off a diagonal section of pool party with frog tape and taped down the feather stencil before brushing bashful blue and orchid ink. Removed the stencil and stamped the sentiment with night of navy ink using MISTI, I die cut 2 feathers, one each from bashful blue and pool party. I brushed a little orchid ink onto the blue feather and blue ink onto the pool party feather and then attached both feathers to the stenciled panel. I added nuvo drops (and made a big mess~a little dollop of purple drop at the bottom middle flopped to the side and when I tried to clean it up I flattened the purple ones on the right edge. Then when I tried to fix that mess, I thumb squished the drops just above and to the left. It's always a comedy of errors when I craft, haha). I still wanted more sparkle and glimmer, so I got my Wink of Stella clear pen and brushed each of the die cut feathers.

Beautiful colours for feathers, and a lovely match of stencil and die. I thought at first you'd used the Nuvo Drops for stencilling and I was wondering how on earth you'd made such a neat job of it. It's a bummer when a drop becomes a drip. Great use of the masking to show off that sentiment.

Fabulous stenciling! The sparkly die-cut feathers go so well with the stencil and the sentiment. Love the words! Wonderful details. Excellent use of the challenge colors. TFS
