Yay it's tickle a Teapotter time of the month and Denise (card crazy) is hosting a special "blueberry" teaparty for all of us.
I have been eyeing off these cute Sherri Baldy digi images for a while now, so what better occasion than a Tickle Teaparty to buy them. I printed the image on to copy paper, coloured with Prismacolour pencils, Zest it pencil blend and Copic highlights.
Before fussy cutting the girls I gently wiped a stained sponge containing walnut stain distress ink over them, then added the liquid pearls. I didn't have the correct colour Liquid Pearls, but the beauty of White Opal liquid pearls is the ease in which Copics can change the dots to any colour you like. The quickest way to kill a Copic is to colour slightly tacky liquid pearls, be sure to wait until the dots are completely dry (and then wait another hour....you're welcome).
I used the cardboard box containing frozen blueberries to die cut the frame. It was sheer luck that the word "fresh" is visible. I die cut with these berry boxes a lot, the thickness is perfect and these Aldi brand berries have a nice warm kraft colour on the inside (I'm talking about the box, not the berries).
The background is a brusho piece from my stash. The muted colours are a result of using lots of water. As a stand alone piece this didn't look much chop, but it's great for a background.
I adhered the girls using a glue stick, leaving some of the edges without glue so the Teapotter who receives this can foof up their hats and skirts a bit.
Thank you for looking and I hope you get a chance to get inky with the Teapotters this week.

In the words of the wonderful Colleen Dewhurst " you do beat all", Susie in backgrounds, coloring and design. You really do. My gosh your highlights are so amazing. You are incredible and I can only hope to someday be this creative.

Oh Susie, that BG looks beautiful...I wouldn’t say much chop lol....and perfect for your Berry ladies who are divine. I love the fact that you used an original berry carton to frame the girls...awesome. You are a legend my mate over East with your colouring, BGs and card making. Thanks for making my day even better and for the tip on copics and liquid pearls.....it takes me a long time to make a card so another hour won’t matter lol. Hugs from the West.

Ah, Susie, magnificent! The bg could not be more perfect for these adorable girls whom you have coloured so wonderfully. All those fabulous drops of liquid pearls! I really love that you framed this, too, using a frozen blueberries box. The teapotter who receives this will be very lucky!

If one day I should be lucky enough to receive one of your beautiful creations, it will definitely be framed and hung on the wall! I love your creativity and masterful coloring! These blueberry babes are amazing and then, to top it all off, you've used a piece from a frozen blueberry package! Amazing!
