Thereâs a reason Iâm allergic to techniques; theyâre hard! ð
This was my third attempt at the faux letterpress technique tonight. I tried it once years ago and wasnât fond of my results. Tonightâs card doesnât look great to me, but I think itâs okay to be used on a card.
Iâm impressed with everyone who makes gorgeous cards with fancy techniques ð

What a pretty shade of green and it looks so pretty with the pink. Love the technique you used for your bg.

Jen, this looks beautiful! You are too hard on yourself. I love the light speckles on the inked/embossed bg, perfect to back up the lovely vase of flowers. You nailed the challenge. Thanks for playing in my challenge, I'm Impressed

Jen, I used to struggle with this a lot too. I think a huge amount of the success depends on the inks you use (now that I have DOX, they definitely work better than distress), and also on how you apply it. I think this looks lovely, though - I'm glad you gave it another go. It makes a really beautiful background for that handsome vase of flowers.

I don't do well with techniques either, Jen, so you're not alone. I almost used this ef, but changed my mind. Your attempt came out very well. The bg looks wonderful for your pretty container of blooms~
