This card worked for the original daily challenge and though I did like the wash of happy colors, it always felt a bit lack luster to me.
For my update, I brayered the inside of the same embossing folder which gave a softer look and the benefit of white words. I cut it down for the DDJuly sketch and framed with deep purple, I used the circular paper clip to hide where the cropping turned Yippee into "pPee". My ribbon and banner were more stripes of deep purple overlayed with paper lace. Popped my panel up on foam tape to accommodate the bulk of the paper clip and added a scattering of sequins. (They look multi-toned in the pic but are actually the same color as the clip)

What a wonderful update this is Linda. I actually really like your original card because I adore the colors you used on it. But, I also love the purple polka dots on this card with your softer sponging. The sequins and pink clip give this a bit of a modern feel which is really fun. I really enjoyed seeing this wonderful card in the gallery today. ~Karen.

Both of your cards are wonderful....the original is very fun and looks a bit like tie-dye, but I do like the soft colors and inked folder technique of the 2nd.
