I used a page protector for the Fossilized Rock technique. Following the provided challenge tutorial, I cut off the bottom & one side of the page protector, smooshed my inks on the inside, and colored my cardstock. I was really impressed when it worked so well, since this was the first time I'd ever done this!
I had decided to do a 2-tier eclipse card. I die cut the "peace" from the middle of my panel. First, I cut a piece of copy paper to A2 size, so I could mark guidelines to help me position the die & get it centered. I die cut from that panel, then taped the copy paper over my glossy cardstock. I fitted the die into the die cut in the paper, and ran it through my die cutting machine again to cut the cardstock. I made sure to keep all the pieces.
I adhered a piece of white cardstock to a scrap of fun foam with Stick It, and added another layer of adhesive on the other side of the cardstock layer. I die cut that with the "peace" die. (The cardstock layer keeps the foam from getting distorted.)
I laid the negative of my inked panel onto an A2 card base, & made tick marks on the base where the borders of the die cut opening were. I added ATG adhesive to all 4 edges of the card base, and then covered where the die cut would go with more adhesive. I adhered the panel in place on my card base. I laid the positive "peace" die cut in the opening, without pressing it down, and used that to guide where the inner pieces went. I then removed the positive of my glossy cardstock die cut, and adhered it to the fun foam piece, to give it even dimension. I adhered that in place on my card.
I decided the card needed something more, so I stamped the other 2 parts of the greeting (from "Holiday Sentiments") onto vellum with Versamark. After I heat embossed and let that cool, I cut the greetings into narrow strips, ran them through my Xyron Sticker Maker, and adhered them above & below my die cut word. This was a super easy card to put together, and I ended up doing it in just under 46 minutes!
