Today is Bastille Day and our challenge is use something to make us think of Paris, France. I have an Old collage stamp but it is quite "busy" and didn't really feel CAS after I stamped it - still it certainly evoked thoughts of Paris. I colored a few of the images then fussy cut the top and sides removing all the grid lines, the world map and most of the travel poster jargon. I laid it on my card base but didn't like the way it looked against the white. Glanced down and retrieved this chunk of blue from the trash bin. My intent had been to go find a full sized piece to back the Paris collage but I quickly realized I really liked the asymmetrical look so used my "trash to treasure" piece to complete this scene.

The bg in the oblique cut works so well with the image!! I'll be thinking of "Casablanca" with Rick and Ilsa today!
