I sketched a globe for the bg, then stamped. I watercolored the bird, fussy cut it, then popped it up. Lastly, I added a black pearl for the eye.
This card is for Shelley, our Teapot Tuesday recipient, who has breast cancer. This is a subject close to my heart (me, my mother, and now my DD, who just finished her chemo and radiation). Shelley loves roses and snow globes, so this was designed just for her.
It feels so good to be stamping again, as my hand heals from a double surgery!! Thanks for all your good wishes and cards, dear friends.

Good to have you back Ann! I love this beautiful bird! It reminds me of the hummingbirds in my backyard. It looks lovely on those pretty pink flowers! Thank you for making this card for Shelley.

I'm so sorry you and your family have been thorough this awful journey. I'm supporting 3 friends at different stages of chemo. Their fortitude has left me breathless with admiration.

Anne, this is such a cute card. Very creative, making your snowglobe for your sweet birdie. BC has really hit your family. Happy your daughter is done with her treatments and radiation.

I think this is the most appealing hummingbird image I have ever seen - beautiful yet whimsical. I love that you have made Shelley a globe card, it will be so special to her, I'm sure. I am so sorry to hear of your daughter's cancer, Anne, and of the recurring disease in your family. Prayers for her - I'm sure she's relieved to be finishing her treatment.
So glad to see you back in the gallery : )
