Featured Stamper. This week's featured stamper is Janeen (JaneenK). I was bowled over by her beautiful gallery and had a hard time choosing, but I kept going back to this beauty: JKT Card Set 2 by janeenk at Splitcoaststampers. I loved the big bloom with the simple sentiment. I changed the colors, the flower used and the orientation, but I still kept this card very much in line with Janeen's wonderful design.
Teapot Party Challenge: This week's teapot party is about the Birthday Bash. We are sending cards to a Hospice Center so they can distribute the cards as needed. What a great cause this is. So, I am making several cards in several colors to send.
CAS540 CAS Challenge: This week's clean and simple challenge is about the summer garden. This big bloom looks good enough to cut to me.
CC746 Color Challenge which is Gannies and Brides do the Mambo. Fun! This has to be one of my all-time favorite color combinations so done!
The flower is stamped in 4 layers and die cut out. The leaves are stamped in 2 layers directly onto the card panel, then the die cut flower is adhered on top. The sentiment is stamped in the darkest ink color.
I want to thank the hostesses for this week's wonderful challenges. This is the first time I have ever made a card that fits 4 challenges and it was fun to make too. Thanks for looking today! ~Karen.

Thank you Karen. I am so humbled by all the responses to my gallery I am on the verge of tears. Your card is SO lovely and the font in the sentiment pairs so nicely with the layout.

That layered stamping looks fabulous, especially the leaves, where it gives them such a delicate ferny feel. The simple layout is so effective, with the birthday greeting framed by the carnation. It looks as good as they smell in real life.
