I so enjoyed this MIX. Another cool way to use chalk, for heaven's sake. Thank you so much, MariLynn. Genius!!!!!
This is a new stencil to me. It is called Park Blvd. I had to have it because I live on Park Blvd. and have for most of my life, in three different houses. It is one of the oldest streets in town and has some lovely old homes, one of which my grandparents built and I owned for about 25 years. It isn't Park Ave. ritz, but it is a street people live on for a long time.
I followed MariLynn's directions. I used a couple of different paints, one white and one buff (this one is the buff). I didn't get as many pulls as she did; this one was my second creation and I felt this paint did a better job of pulling up the chalk. I also had better luck if I used a piece of scratch paper to rub on, instead of just on the piece of cardstock or whatever one uses. You can faintly see the first stencil I used and I have posted another creation with that.
I don't mind the staining at all. Part of the beauty of gel printing is all the layers that you forget are there. I don't clean my plate that well.

What a gorgeous design this is in gorgeous colors. I just donated my chalks because I have not used them in over 20 years (sigh). Well, I sure am appreciating what you have created here. Your stamping of the images and sentiments complements this image perfectly! ~Karen.

I am repenting of coveting those pen stamps as I read your commentary! What a cool background and I see the circle as a plate and the table is set. Family is gathering 'round a table and fellowshipping...I totally see that in your card. Awesome. I especially like how it is just perfect with no embellishments.
It was fun reading about your connection to Park Blvd.
