Another card for my friend, Rob, who just passed enough exams to become a real actuary (an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society). Now he has three more to become a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS). His boss asked me if I could make him a card signifying how far he has come and that he's still shooting for FCAS. He suggested mountains, but I went higher thanks to my inspiration from Julee's card. Speaking of Julee (Vervegirl), she is our Featured Stamper this week and she has an amazing gallery! So much talent! How could I resist that fun Cosmic Christmas card? That is brilliant!
I made my galaxy background by inking up a piece of plastic that I pulled from the trash and applying wet ink to the silver cardstock. I dried each layer with my heat gun. Die cut a moon and a planet and stenciled with my favorite stencil to make moon craters. I had a tough time finding an astronaut, but this one that was a freebie at The Hungry JPEG turned out perfect for me to put "ACAS" on it. And of course I had to finish with a Verve sentiment in Juliee's honor!
