I made this card for my cousin's daughter-in-law who is a German national and recently became a US citizen. I have had the privilege of attending several citizen ceremonies as they are often held in National Parks. They are very emotional ceremonies. I am really happy for her and her family knowing that they can stay together and she can now travel freely.
I cased this fun card https://www.pinterest.com/pin/514817801130766906/
I used the SU work of art stamps to create the flag. I used the fireworks EF and tried to emboss that - it didn't come out exactly like I wanted but it was OK. I layer the panels using the TH edged BG dies and then used my edged scissors to edge the white panel. Added some ribbon and brads and the die-cut sentiment. TFL

this card is such FUN! I too have several friends who gained citizenship a few years ago, that started my love of making 4th of July cards. hadn't done it before that, but their journey and love of the holiday made me want to remind all of my family and friends the joy and gift that being born here makes us so fortunate. every year my friends enjoy my 'americana' type images that I turn into red/white/blue. images of simple things that I grew up with in the Midwest, mostly. LOVE the Card and enjoy that you celebrate their journey! enjoy your day, Teresa
