Cathy's challenge is to go back to one of the first cards uploaded to SCS in one's gallery and use it as inspiration to make a new...and in my case, a better card.
Poor soul that received this 4th of July card back in 2009. If I knew, I'd send them this one as a replacement. : ) Used the same theme, same design patterns...stripes and dots... and the same colors.

I think all your cards look great mf....have missed you in the galleries lately (you know I stalk you right?? lol)
Great case of your original....I don't think any of us really like some of the first cards we made, isn't it nice to see how much we have evolved!!! xx

I like your first card too and I think the recipient liked it too, a hand made card is made with our soul and heart and we do our best to make them the most beautiful as possible and I love to see how we evolve too, I've learned so much from all of you!!
This card today is totally different from the first one but I love both!!

Put me on your list of stalkers too with Karen. I have been missing you too. The saddest part about going back in years past, I saw lots of comments left by stampers who are no longer coming to SCS. I love this card, and I liked your one back in 2009 as well. I like you, wonder who got all those old cards I use to make. I never kept track. I seldom redo cards as the fun for me is coming up with the creation. Today's challenge was kind of hard for me.

Hey, elegant, refined, artful Sallie! I would never have guessed that 4th of July card would have been yours. Fabulous presentation today. I especially like the script mat. Your work always inspires me to experiment more...

This craft has changed so much over the years...both cards are wonderful, Sallie, but I really like the patriotic star quilt look of this beautiful card!

I love this so much. I just love Americana and I would frame this and hang it in my house. That being said, I would also have cherished the old one. But I know exactly how you feel. I often think my family and friends are so sweet to have encouraged me and pretended to be so impressed with those first cards that I made!

OH I love seeing you back in the gallery, Sallie. This is wonderful card, but I love your first one too. I think you are too hard on yourself. I love the quilting effect in this beauty. Wonderful patriotic card.

ROTFLOL! I bet the person you sent the first card loves it even now. Great remake on this card. I can see the fun inspiration from your first card to this one and love how you added and built up on it with your new card. Both cards are great and it is fun to go back to our earlier cards for inspiration for new cards.
