What floats my boat you ask? How about what floats my 1973 MGB across the Puget Sound? If you look really closely, you'll see my car at the west end of the ferry. It's yellow.
A delightful challenge, Dawn. And thank you card makers for inspiring us to get something inked up and onto paper. In my case, I took the scrap from yesterdays Chasing 6 WT challenge, turned it on it's head and actually got the tear for the mountains that surround the Sound...how cool is that? All I had to do is ink them up a bit and it was good to go. Those mountains are just torn by fingers. I already had a bit of watercolor play on the bottom of the paper. This time I took watercolor crayons in a palette and kept playing with the swipes of the brush. When I was satisfied, I stamped the ClearSnap 'Ferry' stamp at the very top of the torn mixed media page. It was stamped in VersaFine 'Olympic Green' (and how fitting is that as those mountains that surround the sound are the Olympics).
I've had the Seattle 'things' stamp just begging to be inked. I masked it to make a side by side instead of vertical. Not perfectly side by side...but hey, this is a HANDmade card...I like imperfect.
That pretty much tells my story here. It was fun to create...to build on a scrap from yesterday and have it turn into something kinda of cool. I did hide something into the body of my card. My question is are you?
Thanks for your comments, they bless me in a huge way. Have a loved filled weekend.

I love your ferry carrying your yellow car across and getting to put ink on a new stamp is such a great experience. You always seem to share a little of yourself in each of your creations. Doesn't that take our art to the best level ever?

Great use of your scrap, Susan. It makes great mountains! I love your stamp of Seattle things. I see a few things I did not visit when we made a trip there two years ago. That just means I'll have to come back. I see you little yellow car just waiting to be the first one off the ferry! On to adventures!

Oh Susan, I am awed by this fabulous work of art! This is a mixed media marvel. You got the Olympics perfectly with the ripped panel. This would look great framed and hanging on the wall.

Wonderful mixed media card...love the color combination and your torn Olympic mountains. Looks like a scene to see everyday here in the Northwest! Love your water scene, overstamped with the Puget Sound word description stamping! Darling little ferry with your car enjoying the cruise on the Sound!
